Giovanna Schelosky
"Miss Gia"

Certified Orton-Gillingham & Dyslexia Specialist

Hello and welcome! My name is Giovanna Schelosky "Miss Gia" and I was born and raised in Brazil. Coming from a family of Educators, I’ve always loved learning and wholeheartedly believe in the importance of trust between learners and educators. With over eight years of teaching experience, starting with Pre-K and working my way around different age groups, my true passion was found over five years ago when I first experienced working with Special Education.

I am a passionate educator who believes the key to be a successful teacher comes from an equal mix of creativity and patience. My goal is to adapt the multi-sensory approach to an online setting, where my learners are able to learn and have fun at the same time.

Since becoming certified by the Orton-Gillingham Academy, I have worked with learners with different disabilities across all grade levels. My passion for the Orton-Gillingham approach grew even bigger as I was able to see progress after each lesson, helping learners gain confidence from experiencing sessions 1:1. I’m experienced with using the OG approach to support learners with dysgraphia and dyslexia.

I am currently pursuing a dual Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I have plans on obtaining my Masters shortly after.

I am so happy to be a part of the Dyslexic Einstein team and can’t wait to build a meaningful connection with my learners while supporting each family during their educational journey!
